Artist Information: Jean Exantus better known as Jeanius just released the mixtape "The Perfect Product". his' musical inspirations, Coldplay, B Jork and Sting are evident in this creation. Although a spoken word hip hop artist he cannot be confined to that one particular genre. His out of box ideas, visions and sounds could classify him as world music. With his ability to freestyle, he is as lyrically strong and can also be compared to artists like kanye West, Mos Def and Drake. Bringing positivity to rap music Jeanius refrains from using proffanity and degrading terms in his lyrics, making it enjoyable to fans of all ages and social class.
Jeanius spent most of his lifetime developing and perfecting his craft. Growing up in a talented musical family of five, he was introduced to music by his mother at a very young age. When Jeanius was three years old he held the microphone for the first time leading his brothers and sisters to pursue music as well. His brother Josh X and sister Nikiya Exantus can also be found performing and working with people in the industry.
Jeanius although born in Brooklyn did not start his music journey there. While living in Japan he was a Dj and started to perform at many local pubs captivating the crowds with his lyrical skills. He was known throughout the Japanese community as Mc Hook because of his catchy hooks. When jeanuis is on stage he is animated and energetic, delivering the best experience for your moneys worth.
Much to the excitement of his abundant fans Jeanius is working on his debut album "The Diary of an MC" to be released July 2010. With plans to be Internationally known Jeanius can be heard collaborating with different artists from other countries to cultivate a unique sound. The album will come with a documentary of Jeanius to show his fans his involvement in the production of his music. Along with some performances and clips of his personal life the documentary will be filled with the passion or his work.
In the future Jeanius plans to travel the world to touch people with his music. Much like a prophet he will deliver a message through his music to heal countries in distress. With great generosity Jeanius plans to give back to the world. Doing so already on a smaller scale Jeanius performs at charity events for battered women and others of good cause.
